Great product February 16, 2008 Christine Rawls (Nashville, TN USA) 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
This is a great bag for school. I use it everyday to carry books and other things in it. Also, the three compartments on the inside makes it very easy to organize everything.
The only thing I have against the bag is that the strap is a bit too thin and it doesn't provide a lot of support if you are carrying a very heavy load.
However, other than that this is a very useful bag. Very much worth the price.
Sturdy, and looks good too. May 14, 2007 Frank (Norwalk, CT) 21 out of 23 found this review helpful
I use this bag for school to carry my books, or when I go to the shooting range, and any time I take the train into NYC. Its easy to use because unlike a backpack I dont need to take it off to go through it, I can get something from it while its on me. Its tough as nails, very sturdy construction, it also looks pretty cool as well. (especially if youre a 24 fan and always wished you could have Jack's "magic bag" from season 5, sorry no Glocks, endless ammo supply, lock picking kit, knife set, flashlights, PDAs, or lighters included.) Only downside is if you have to carry a heavy load with it, there is no padding on the strap, but I rarely do, so it works well.

Different from the other reviews June 17, 2009 Michael Seamus Mckenna (Millersville, MD USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I was kind of skeptical about buying this bag because the reviews said some bad things about it. They said the strap was too short, it was uncomfortable, and that the divider not being sewn all the way to the bottom was a real pain in the butt, but I disagree with all of them.
I got the bag, and when I opened it, the strap was extremely short. I thought this was no problem, because I saw the little adjuster things on it. Turns out I couldn't get it to be long enough. It hung about 4 inches from my pit. Then I told my sister and she figured out how to make it longer for me. There were two sides on the adjuster things. I had only adjusted one side. Problem one solved.
The strap is a little thin, but all I had to do was move the strap from one shoulder to the other, and I was fine. I carried this bag around literally all day for like two weeks, and I'm not sore or anything, and I only wasted about 30 seconds of my time total moving the strap. Problem two solved.
And problem three. Might look like an inconvenience at first, but it's only two pockets that are not divided on the bottom. No problem. Just look in both pockets if you want your pencil or iPod or something. Also, those pockets are for big things. There are two other pockets for small things. Put them there. Problem three solved.
There you go, no problems with the bag. It looks cool, it's roomy, and you can carry it around all day if you want. There are probably other pluses I can't think of right now, so if you're skeptical, like I was, just buy the bag.
Good investment? Yes.. September 10, 2008 J. Reed (Sellersburg, IN) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I just got my bag today and yes i do love it. It has dividers, its light, and stylish. And yes my name is Jack, and i've already got about 50 comments about that lol. Anyway this bag is great to have for books and things that are for school and that type of deal. The cons of having this bag is that the strap is really thin, so heavy items can be put in there but i wouldn't suggest for a long period of time. I did reinforce it with my friends stitching and used a Khaki guitar strap which makes it extremely durable now. A little modification and it seems to hold my laptop and 30+ lbs worth of notebooks and books. I do suggest getting this bag if you like the convenient side pouch with pen/pencil holders, and a pocket to put smaller type documents in or even to just put the pen/pencils in. It has the dividers which makes it 3 slots to organize with, and the buttons on the front help lock down the smaller flap to keep those smaller items in there without losing them. The bigger flap has an optional clip so if your bag falls, you still have all the items still in the dividers. A lot of my friends also grabbed this bag and use it for misc things like; camping, first aid kit, etc etc. There are just to many things that you can do with this bag, i just can't list them all. Its fairly big and roomy for whatever you need to use with this bag. If you want a satchel type bag like this, i suggest going with this one. yeah it may need a reinforcement of some sort for the strap, but after that is done, i think this bag will last a absolute long time. Thanks Rothco!
The laptop has an 18" screen, and it slides in there like butter and fits just right.
